Year 10-12 Students Nurse for a day at Latrobe

We had an amazing time with our Year 10-12 students exploring the field of Nursing at Latrobe University’s Immersion Day.

Highlights from the Day:

• Uni Life: Students got a firsthand look into Campus Life at Latrobe from a variety of current students studying Nursing in Shepparton.
• Subjects Explored: Our students learned about the essential subjects and courses that pave the way to a successful career in the field of Nursing. Students also discovered the various pathways into the field, including undergraduate programs, placements, and further studies.
• Students also experienced hands-on activities in La Trobe’s Clinical Learning Unit typical of the simulation activities that university students engage in early in their degree.

Year 10-12 Students thrived at Latrobe

We had an amazing time with our Year 10-12 students exploring the field of Social Work at Latrobe University’s Careers Day! Thank you to everyone who attended and made the event a huge success.

• Uni Life: Students got a firsthand look into Campus Life at Latrobe from a variety of current students studying Social Work in Shepparton.
• Subjects Explored: Our future social workers learned about the essential subjects and courses that pave the way to a successful career in Social Work.
• Pathways into Social Work: Students discovered the various pathways into the field, including undergraduate programs, placements, and further studies.
• Industry and Employment Trends: We were provided valuable insights into the current trends in the Social Work industry and explored the diverse employment opportunities available.

We recommend that all students from Years 10 – 12 engage with our Careers Hub at least once per year to maximise their career opportunities post school.
